Canada Immigration Programs for Self Employed Class

Monday, September 10, 2012

Federal Self-Employed Class  is probably one of the most, if not the most, unpopular immigration of Canada.  Like the Federal Skilled Workers Program, it accepts only a limited number of application annually.  This program is targeted to those with experience in farm management and self-employment in cultural activities or athletics.

Self-employed person means a foreign national who has relevant experience and has the intention and ability to be self-employed in Canada and to make a significant contribution to specified economic activities in Canada.

Federal Self-Employed Class applications are being assessed using the 5 Selection Criteria Points System.  An application will be assessed based on Education, Experience, Age, Language Proficiency and Adaptability.

Finding a job can take time. To succeed in this process, the key is to be prepared! The fact that you have been accepted to come to Canada does not guarantee you employment in Canada in your preferred profession or any other profession.
